BTS Heads to Latin America After a Big Return at the iHeartRadio Music Festival

BTS is on the move again.

After wrapping up the North American leg of the “ARIRANG” World Tour in Los Angeles earlier this month, the seven members of BTS are now preparing for their next major chapter: Latin America.

But before heading south, BTS made another major U.S. appearance—this time not at one of their own concerts, but at the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas.

For fans who have been waiting to see BTS active together again, September and October are turning into a very busy season.

BTS Returns to the iHeartRadio Music Festival

On September 18, BTS took the stage at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas as part of the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Festival.

The festival featured artists from several genres, including Cardi B, Snoop Dogg, Benson Boone, Muse and others. BTS closed the first night of the festival.

Their set was short compared with a full BTS concert, but it gave fans a mix of new and familiar music:

“Swim”
“2.0”.
“Mic Drop”
“FYA”

The performance was especially notable because it marked BTS's first appearance at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in six years.

For newer American listeners, a festival like iHeartRadio also gives BTS a different kind of stage. Instead of performing only for an audience that bought tickets specifically to see BTS, the group appears alongside major artists from across pop, hip-hop, rock and country.

That makes the appearance interesting beyond the BTS fandom itself.

From North America to Latin America

The Las Vegas performance also arrived at a perfect transition point in BTS's 2026 schedule.

BTS had just completed the North American leg of the ARIRANG World Tour. According to BigHit Music figures reported by Korea.net, the North American leg included 31 performances across 12 cities, with an estimated 1.92 million spectators. The final four shows were held at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on September 1, 2, 5 and 6.

Now the tour moves into Latin America.

According to the current official BigHit Music tour schedule, the Latin American dates are:

Why the Latin American Leg Is Worth Watching

Latin America isn't new territory for BTS.

The group previously performed in Santiago in 2017 and São Paulo in both 2017 and 2019. But this year's itinerary is much broader, extending through Colombia, Peru, Chile, Argentina and Brazil. The Buenos Aires dates are particularly notable because they are being promoted as BTS's first concerts in Argentina.

There's another interesting sign of the scale of these shows.

The October 21 Buenos Aires concert and October 31 São Paulo concert are scheduled to be presented through worldwide cinema live-viewing events, extending the Latin American performances to fans outside the region.

In other words, this isn't simply another stop on a long world tour. Latin America is becoming one of the most visible chapters of BTS's 2026 return.

BTS Is Back in a Very Different Way

What makes BTS's current activity interesting is not simply that all seven members are performing together again.

The scale has changed.

One week they can finish multiple stadium concerts in Los Angeles. The next they can appear on a multi-artist American festival stage. Then, only a few weeks later, they begin stadium dates across Latin America.

That movement shows how BTS now operates simultaneously as a K-pop group and as a global touring act.

For longtime ARMY, the Latin American concerts may feel like another long-awaited reunion between BTS and fans in the region.

For newer listeners, however, this could be a good moment to start following the group.

The next chapter begins October 2 in Bogotá.

And from there, BTS will travel through Lima, Santiago and Buenos Aires before finishing the Latin American leg in São Paulo on October 31.
